Music

70s and 80s Stereo

During this period, mono records were monitored by a government censorship board, who effectively only promoted traditional music. With the arrival of new technologies like stereo, there was a large boom in underground rock. To circumnavigate censorship, it was often labelled as stereo instead of under certain genres. A lot of it is judiciously archived by the youtube channel Goldilocks Zone Music, which you can browse in your own time if this kind of stuff really hooks you in.
